Von Duprin 78 exit device is a wide stile device that provides reliable performance and peace of mind for applications like warehouse, industrial, office, multifamily, retail, and commercial real estate spaces. It’s available in a wide range of device types, lever designs, options, and finishes. 

 

Von Duprin's 70 Series also can be configured with the Quiet Electric Latch Retraction (QEL) option, which provides electronic control of an exit device where limited operational noise is desired. Plus, quick shipping is an option for time-sensitive projects.

  • Available in a wide range of device types, options, lever designs and finishes 
  • Available in 3’ and 4’ lengths that are field sizeable for single and double door applications

The 78 Series offers a solution for most single, double and double egress door applications.  Below are the available device types:

  • Rim, no suffix
  • 27: Surface mounted vertical rod (SVR)
  • 47: concealed vertical rod (CVR)

 

Devices can be ordered fire-rated by adding  “-F” to the suffix.

The 78 Series is available less trim (LT) and several versions of the exit trim models listed below:

The 78 Series can be customized to meet a variety of facility needs with several mechanical, electronic and finish options.

Mechanical Options

  • CD: Cylinder dogging (panic only)
  • HD: Hex dogging
  • LD: Less dogging
  • WH: Weep holes, drainage (weep) holes in mechanism case
  • AX: an accessible device that is certified to meet the 5 lb. force requirements for the 2010 American Disabilities Act (ADA) (Chapters 404.2.7 and 30934) and 2013 California Building Code (Chapter 11B-309.4)
  • LBR: Less Bottom Rod, Panic and Fire Rated

Electrified Options or Electromechanical Options

  • LX:  Latchbolt monitoring signals use of an opening
  • RX: Request to exit
  • QEL: Quiet electric latch retraction, electronic latch retraction with limited operational noise
  • ALK: Alarm kit, unauthorized opening triggers horn
  • CON:  Allegion Connect, Common connectors to connect various door hardware all the way to the power supply
  • E780 / E360: Electric locking and unlocking trim, remains latched while unlocked
